New office projects in the area: No new spec office deliveries. Some new medical office, including a 40,000 SF expansion by Kaiser Permanente in TownPark.
Major office leases or announcements: Both new tenants and existing tenants continue to support this area as evidenced by Novelis having leased the 162,000 SF building at 1950 Vaughn Road for an R&D facility. Airgas South has leased 46,700 SF at Barrett Business Center 400. Brasfield Gorrie and TSYS have each renewed their leases for 50,000 SF and 80,000 SF, respectively, in 100 and 200 Barrett Summit. 
Other trends in the submarket that should be noted: Leasing activity is improving this quarter, with both existing tenants beginning to show needs to expand, and new tenants coming into the market. |
